| Trees offer
shade, protection from the wind and variety in our outside environment. The height and
beauty of a tree is essential in the balance of your landscape design. Choose a tree carefully. Consider the growing rate, spread, height, color, leaf pattern, maintenance and growing needs. We feature an extended variety of trees with a complete understanding of their individual benefits. Whether you want a fast growing, shade tree, an ornamental accent or a tropical palm, a tree is always a welcome addition.

Shrubs are the
cornerstone of good landscaping. Well placed shrubs are backdrops, border buffers and
visual compliments to a well designed landscaping plan. With the large variety of shrubs of all sizes, shapes and coloration, the choice is endless. Choose a shrub that blends style, color and shape to your particular landscape design. Perhaps a flowering shrub for additional color or a low shrub for a shallow backdrop for a bed of groundcover. Our team of experts can help you with the right choice in shrubs for your landscaping and gardening needs.

Flowers offer
color and give us pleasure. For outside or to cut for inside, flowers are the accents of a
landscape design. In front of shrubs, nestled inside a group, or as an Island of Flowers for color and cheer. Flowers always offer a familiar welcome. With our wide variety of choices we are sure to have the perfect plants for your border or island of flowers. Some of our particular favorites include: petunias, pansies, dianthus, gazania, and snap dragons. For that splash of color some recommended perennials: lantana, verbena, garden heather and the ever popular chrysanthemum. |
Knowing when to Water New Plants is as Easy as 1 - 2 - 3
1. Water your new plant every day for the first week.
2. Water your new plant every other day for the second week.
3. Water your new plant every third day for the third week.
Water two or three times a week thereafter depending on the weather.
Wait six weeks and then fertilize in the Spring, Summer and Fall.
How to Plant a Tree
Dig a hole as deep as the root ball. The top of the root ball will need oxygen, so don't plant it too deep. Dig the hole a foot wider than the root ball. This allows aeration of the surrounding soil.
Remove root ball from the container. Loosen the root ball to separate the roots which will encourage growth into the surrounding soil.
Fill the hole with water. Place the tree into the hole, gradually add the soil, tamping as you go. This assures elimination of all the air pockets.
Add two or three inches of mulch around the newly planted tree.
